The Secret Duo recipe you didn’t know you needed

Norm Wild

Here's a recipe that will make your pet think you’re the next Jamie Oliver.

AAFCO 2020 balanced. Safe for dogs and cats. Easy af to make.

Recipe written by Clare Kearney, pet nutritionist and founder of HUNDE.

Ingredients:

200g Chicken wings

for important calcium, from bone

125g Kangaroo meat perfectly balances the nutritional profile and fatty acids in the chicken
125g Oily fish (fresh or tinned) eg. sardines, mackerel, salmon - great for omega 3s and vitamin D3
20g Secret Duo topper the star of this recipe baby
25g Oysters (fresh or tinned) One of the best food sources of zinc on the planet
10g Laila & Me Hempseed oil Good source of vitamin E
1g Kelp powder Use some torn up Nori sheets if sourcing from the supermarket - for iodine
2.50g Turmeric Roughly a teaspoon - for important micronutrients
2.50g Cinnamon Roughly a teaspoon - for important micronutrients
100g Oats, cooked in water Can be subbed for any dog-safe veggies if you prefer

Method:

There's not a lot to this, just whack it in a bowl and serve if that's your style.

If your pooch has a more refined palette, we recommend mixing the powders, oil and Norm topper through the cooked oats to make everything a bit more delicious.

If you have a small dog, you can split this over a few meals. It's fine if they eat the chicken wing as one meal and the rest as another meal, or you can chop and combine everything into serves.

If your dog is massive, you can swap a chicken wing out for something more suitable, like a drumstick or turkey neck. If they're a pipsqueak you could use chicken necks. If they have a chicken allergy use duck. You get the idea. It's flexible.

This recipe is balanced to the AAFCO 2020 standards for adult dogs, but is safe for dogs and cats of all ages (Doctor google will tell you cinnamon is toxic to cats, but it's absolutely fine in this quantity and is a great source of manganese).
